Report error: Ship names and sailing dates wrong, NY Book Indexes to Passenger Lists
I don't see very many correctly indexed ship names in this Roll. I was wondering why I found an ancestor on a passenger list for 1915 when they sailed in 1907. Both the dates and ship name were wrong, and then I saw that the entire roll has shifted. These people are sailing on the Triste instead of the Carmania in 1907.
I saw some "sailing on" the SS California, same problem, except they are sailing in 1915 (the whole roll is for 1907) and on a different ship. Thousands of problems due to some index error for this roll, from the 1st record on.
