Merge requests - for John CRANE, Ben CRANE, Stanley CRANE, and Nelson CRANE

Thank you for the responses. I submitted this request thinking I needed FamilySearch permission to merge the accounts prior to knowing I could do the merges myself. Problem solved!

The following individuals are the same persons and should be merged

John, Ben, and Stanley are my great uncles, my maternal grandmother's brothers, and Nelson is their father.

Thank you,

Tammie Elliott Wenter

It appears that the GDRQ-5K1, GDRQ-J6T, GDRQ-19F and GDCV-TX7 accounts are a recent add of individuals through the 1910 census rather than linking them to existing individuals

Tammie, what's preventing you from doing these merges yourself? They're a lot easier if you know the people involved, because you're less likely to get confused about which person is which.

My sympathies on the "US1910Project" mess. I believe that's a project at BYU, and unfortunately none of the people here in the Community have been able to convince them to cease and desist. You could try sending them a message, as kindly worded as you can manage, explaining just how much extra work they've caused you.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

    Just in passing ...

Further to; and, in support of, what 'Julie' has already proffered ...

Here is just one particular post on the matter:

I know, that this certainly does not help/assist; but, I hope, that this may provide you with, some additional, insight; and, perspective; and, another avenue to pursue.

Thank you for your replies. I will take on the task of merging the accounts of my relatives. How frustrating it is though.

@TAMMIE ELLIOTT WENTER It sounds like you are still not clear about the FamilySearch environment. All of us users are here to work collaboratively with others to keep our ancestors records as correct as possible. Merging is not something FamilySearch does for us. It is a tool provided for us to keep our house clean.
