1765 French Letter to Ben Franklin -?translate?
May 1765 Henri Ehrenfried contacts the British Ambassador to colonies [Franklin]. He is collecting immigrants from France, but hasn't been paid by General Waldo.
Can anyone tell if the Newport (could be anywhere America, Franch, England, Belgium?) immigrants are in Philadelphia? When General [?Samuel?] Waldo dies? What Franklin is up to in 1765 besides complaining about the Stamp Act?

!!!Ding, Ding, Ding. Bullseye. Franklin IS involved in Palatine immigration. Should have known anything Franklin would be on a college/hist.Soc. site.
p.s. Too big for google trans. Got it with 3 cut pastes. Gracia!

Glad to be able to help. I love the Founders Archives and Google Translate. The search engine in the archive is fascinating with all the correspondence and business letters of the 7 major players. But, I especially love to read the letters between Abigail Adams and John Adams and her sister.
