Inviting people to a family group to share ordinance work

I created a family group and supposedly sent them all an email through the "invite" function. But none of my family received the email. They even looked in their junk mail - nothing there. What am I doing wrong? Is there another way to invite them to my family temple "group"?

We will attach a link to the Knowledge Article that explains how to invite others to your Family Group. Since you have already sent emails, we realize you may have already read it. It does suggest an alternative though, so it could be worthwhile for you to review it:

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/invite-people-to-join-a-family-group

With that said, we experimented by sending an email invitation through a Family Group, and unfortunately we found our email in our Junk Mail folder. That may be an issue with your emails as well. It might be worth investigating. We hope this helps, and possibly others may weigh in with other suggestions.

Thank you for posting your question about inviting others to join your family group. Personally I found it easier to use the Copy Link choice to invite other to join the group. The article below give the directions.

Also you may wish to check out the related article links involving the same issue, especially the one about joining the group.

    Good luck.

    Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

    [ And, I happen to be a Member o the Church ... ]

'Yes', initially, we THOUGHT, that were having the SAME problem/issue ...

    Bear with me ...

The "E-mail" (ie. "Invite") is actually sent out, through 'FamilySearch', by HTML "E-mailing"; and, NOT, through one's normal "E-mail" Service.

The problem/issue is, that such appears to take SOME "Days", to actually get/be "Delivered".

As, a "Test", my Wife, sent me, an "Invite", to "Family Group", she "Created".

But, NO such "Invite" (ie. "E-mail") was immediately received/forthcoming.

In fact, we thought that such was NOT forthcoming; because, I was ALREADY, a member, of another "Family Group".

Then, yesterday, a number of "Days" LATER, the "Invite" (ie. "E-mail"); eventually, appeared for me.

We were "Testing"; as, an "Invite", that eventually, appeared for a Family member; but, was WITHOUT the "Link" (URL), to the "Family Group".

Strangely, enough, my "Invite" (ie. "E-mail"), contained the "Link" (URL), to the "Family Group".

[ We still have not worked out, what went wrong, with regards to the "Link", for the Family member ... ]

    As a such ...

IF, it has NOT been a few "Days", since the "Invite(s)", was (were) initiated, through 'FamilySearch'; THEN ...

I would humbly suggest, giving it a few "Days", to 'see' if the "Invite(s)"; eventually, get "Delivered".

IF, that is NOT an option; as, one is in a hurry; THEN, I would suggest, using your "E-mail" Service, to send each of those, that you want to "Invite", to "Join", the newly created "Family Group", actual "E-mails", WITH the "Link" in 'FamilySearch'; which, one can "Copy", from 'FamilySearch'; and, "Paste", into an "Email".

You can sent out either, individual "E-mails", to those concerned; and/or, one "E-mail", with ALL those that you initially want to invite; as, the "Link", to the "Family Group" is the SAME for ALL concerned - the choice is yours.

    Good Luck.

I hope, that this may help/assist. somewhat.

    Brett
