You will need to go to the the person page for him and request the Temple Ordinances yourself following the same process for 110 year request for your own relatives. When you go to the person's page go to the temple Ordinance tab and click on request permission and answer all the questions.

Make sure that you have signed, written permission from one of your friend's close living relatives. We cannot accept signed, written permission from yourself or your deceased friend, it must be from the closest living relative.

Word the written permission this way: I, (name of person giving permission), give (your name) permission to do temple work in a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints temple, for (name of deceased), who is my (relationship to person giving permission).  (Signature of person giving permission)

The request will be automatically routed to the FamilySearch team that handles these request and they will review your request. Ensure you attach a copy of the permission letter. Thank you.
