England parish deaths

I accidentally submitted a previous batch like this one without waiting for an answer from you experts so you did not have a chance to see the batch I was looking at so I will try it again.
When there is not a surname for the deceased but rather just "Maria Jane" daughter of James Barnes, or "Jane" wife of John Doe, do I leave the surname as blank and just put the surname by the father and mother and spouse?
I know we can't assume that her last name was the same as the parents although it usually is.

We apologize for not getting back to you. You are correct. We don't assume that the last name would be the same as the parents....unless there would be specific instructions to that end. So you would leave that surname as blank.
