While indexing Land Deeds. The Grantee/Grantees have two names such as' Thomas and Rachel Smith. How do you index two first names?

Because of the way this is written you can index Thomas Smith and Rachel Smith as the individuals. Each gets a record since the project instructions probably say: If multiple grantees or grantors were listed for a single transaction, index information about each one using separate entries in the data entry area.

If the set up was a little different, like Thomas Smith and Rachel, or Rachel Smith and Thomas, or Thomas Smith and his wife Rachel, of Rachel Smith and her husband Thomas, then you would only index the surnames with the ones attached to the given name.
