View My Relationship to people in my Family Tree.
In early December 2021, I found some ancestors who were my 6th/7th cousins and so forth. Back then when I clicked on "View My Relationship" for them, it would show their connection to me. Lately when I view those same ancestors "view my relationship", I get the message No Relationship Found. I know and understand what Article Id: 1270 says and mean, so I am wondering if there were recent changes made so these distant cousins do not show as being related? Reason asking is that I use the "View My Relationship" as a criteria as to who I can do ordinance work. Thank you.

FYI
Really ... I am just a 'lowly' User/Patron ...
I am NOT a 'FamilySearch' Employee; nor, am I part of 'FamilySearch' "Support" (ie. "Support" Missionary) ...
Just one, who has been, participating in; and, helping/assisting in, this Community.FamilySearch" Forum, for a NUMBER of Years now.
Of course, in deference to, the "110 Year Rule"; and, "Permission Required" ...
IF, you are "Related" (ie. "Cousins"); THEN, ... 'Yes' ...
And ...
IF, you can use, the likes of "Ancestry_com", to help/assist, to 'resurrect' (ie. restore/reestablish), the 'Connections'/'Links'; THEN, by all means do so [ As, I have also done, the same ... ].
The 'Connections'/'Links' are quite frequently "Broken" (ie. "Severed"), by WAYWARD "Changes" made, by OTHER Users/Patrons.
In "New.FamilySearch", the predecessor to "Family Tree", I have had lineages that went back countless generations (and, I mean "Countless"); and, they were successfully 'Transitioned'/'Transferred'.
Unfortunately, over the intervening Years, with the influx of, NEW; and, Inexperienced, Users/Patrons, many of those lineages have been "Broken" (ie. "Severed"), by WAYWARD "Changes" made, by OTHER Users/Patrons.
In many of those cases, not even 'FamilySearch', could 'resurrect' (ie. restore/reestablish) those LONG lineages; and, they even had ( Experienced) "Support" Missionaries, trying to do so - to no avail.
So ...
That Said ...
'Yes', there very much IS, the likelihood, that 'connections'/'links', between, you; and, the Ancestor(s), have been "Broken" (ie. "Severed"), by WAYWARD "Changes" made, by OTHER Users/Patrons ...

FYI
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Just in passing ...
As far as I am aware ...
There does not seem to be, any significant "Changes", to "View My Relationship", in 'FamilySearch' ...
[ But, of course, who knows, there may have been ... we are not always told ... ]
But ...
That Said ...
I more so believe, that ...
There is every likelihood, that 'connection'/'link', between, you; and, the Ancestor(s), has been "Broken" (ie. "Severed"), by "Changes" made, by ANOTHER User/Patron - it happens.
Hence, that is WHY, I "Watch" (oops, sorry, 'Old School', "Follow"), many of my IMPORTANT Ancestors ...
And, unless, you have a "Copy", of the ORIGINAL 'connection'/'link', it is often IMPOSSIBLE to reestablish.
I have had to "Repair" MANY 'Wayward' CHANGES, to restore/reestablish various 'connections'/'links' ...
It can be an 'onerous' (and, time consuming) task; and, in some cases impossible.
Most of the time, I DID NOT have a "Copy", of the ORIGINAL 'connection'/'link'; and, had to go through the 'ChangeLogs" of ALL concerned.
Just my thoughts.
Brett
ps: It will be interesting, to 'see' if there is any OFFICIAL response, on "Changes", to "View My Relationship".

Thank you for your reply. You always start your replies with "I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ..."? I do know my connection to these ancestors, as stated, as per Ancestry.com. I do believe that we are able to do ordinance work for "cousins".

As @Brett . says, links can be broken by "wayward" users. Of course, the links may be broken for legitimate reasons as well as bad ones. There is a seriously large amount of rubbish out there - not just in Family Tree but also on other sites such as Ancestry. Do not accept what you see without checking to historical records.
Yes - you can do ordinance work for cousins. The guidance can be found at
I would be surprised if you cannot find work to do for well documented cousins without the need to rely on possibly dodgy links.
