Muster rolls and joined date
When a comment that an officer joined on a certain date is listed on a muster roll by the side of the name, is that the same as "enlisted"? It appears to me that it may mean that he joined that particular unit.

I wouldnt use it personally. There are certain images that have clear cut columns that list enlistment dates and only in that case would i use them. If any other list says joined on <insert> or transfered on, <insert> or anything like that i believe we dont use those, but the general date at the top of the page.
