Duplicate image record, different batch code
I completed INDEXing several batches over the past hour and then I switched to REVIEWing batches of the same project. The first batch image I received for review was the exact image that I completed indexing just a few minutes earlier.
First, I thought that I was reviewing the record that I indexed, but I noticed some minor differences in the fields than what I had entered. It appears that this is duplicate image record, but a different batch number??
How can we be sure that efforts aren’t duplicated?
I don’t have the batch code of image I indexed previously, but below is the review batch code.
South Africa—Dutch Reformed Church Registers, 1660–1970 [Part C][M3DC-HLC]

I have verified that the image was photographed twice, so there will be two entries.
In looking over the batch you are reviewing, I am not clear on why you have indexed all that information in the Event Place. Based on the example, the event place is only Clanwilliam. We only index what is on the image as per the examples in the field help and the project instructions.
Hope that helps.

There is always a chance of records being double and the chances of them being indexed twice by different people is very high.
I personally would just let it go and index it all as shown. When searchs are done later by those individual's descendants, all records for that name will come up and they will be the ones to then sort through and find the relevant info, so I wouldnt worry too much.
Im pretty sure there is no problem having two images as a single memory in a profile, for example having 2 copies of a marriage certificate, etc.
