Indexing census

I understand the 1950 census will be released on 4/1/2022. Will we as indexers be able to index it. When will it be available to index.

No announcements have been made yet about indexing the 1950 census. However NARA (the US national archives) have announced they will be releasing a computer-generated index of the census at the same time the images are released.
