Family Group Ordinances

I have over extended my temple ordinance with the new policy of only 300. I have had 30,000. I have just opened a family group for my family to help with this important work. It will not allow me to put new names into this group. What do I need to do. Please help. Thanks Kindly Charlene

I have read the article and its not working for me. It says Ordinances that were previously shared with the temple cannot be shared again. I've gone in and did the website steps. When I get into some 300 thaat are not completed, the share button isn't usable. and it won't let me click onto the share with the group. Do I need to unreserve them and then share them to my group?

In your follow-up post you write "It says Ordinances that were previously shared with the temple cannot be shared again." Do you mean that it says that on your reservation list or somewhere else?
Anywhere you are reading that on your reservation list, it means that that reservation is a 90-day reservation. These are reservations that show in FamilyTree with a green temple with clock icon, the ones that a year or so ago would have had a red icon. If you take one of these, it is expected that you complete the associated ordinances within 90 days. If expiration dates were currently enforced, they would drop off your reservation list after 90 days.
These 90-day reservations are ordinances someone else has reserved from Family Tree and shared with the temple. Since they are already shared with the temple, you cannot re-share them. Also, you cannot share them with a Family Group. I assume because the intent with these is for us to reserve one of these and to go to the temple that day. Not reserve it and put it where someone might get around to it sometime.
I have noticed that if you click off a bunch of ordinances and accidentally include even one of these 90-day reservation, the Share button is greyed out and inactive until you unclick that 90-day reservation.
So if you have filled your personal reservation list with 300 90-day reservations you will not be able to reserve any more ordinances, share any ordinances with the temple, or share any ordinances with a Family Group. And when expiration dates come back in force, after 90 days, any of the 300 you have not completed will automatically vanish from your list and return to the shared-with-temple list they came from to be completed through the usual temple supplied name process or for others to find via Ordinances Ready.
Since you have so many names that you need to get taken care of, so many that you would never be able to take care of personally, I would suggest you unreserve all 90-day ordinances on your list. These are already in line to be completed via the general temple list. Move all but 250 of the remaining ordinances to your Shared With Temple list. This will get those ordinances done via the general temple list. Move the remaining 250 to your Family Group for your family to complete.
As you research and prepare new people in Family Tree for ordinances, this will give you a cushion of 50 names to reserve to your personal reservation list and immediately share with the temple. The Shared With Temple list is unlimited and it is fine to have 30,000 reservations there. As your Family Group list drops in numbers, un-share names from your Shared With Temple list and move them to your Family Group list to keep the total there around 250.
Using this type of method with keep your personal reservation list empty. Any time you are personally going to the temple, unshare names from your Family Group or Shared With Temple list, print the cards and go. Or just use Ordinances Ready which pulls names first from your personal list, then your Family Group, then your Shared With Temple List.

Thank you for posting in the Community about your Temple reservations and sharing with the group. You do not share new names, you share names from your Temple reservation list. We are enclosing the article link giving directions on how to do this. Click the link below:

Good luck in sharing your reserved names with your family.

FYI
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]
Just in passing ...
Unfortunately ...
Until you "Reduce", your "Reservation" List, to under/less than x300; THEN, ...
Short Answer: You, CANNOT, will NOT be able to, "Reserve", any additional/new "Temple" Work.
It is as simple as that ...
There is NO other option ...
And, please be aware, that even, "Sharing", those from one's "Reservation" List, with a "Family Group", DOES NOT, in any way, "Reduce", one's "Reservation" List, that is; UNTIL, such a "Reservation", from one's List, in a "Family Group", has been taken and "Reserved", by another member, of that "Family Group".
Just my thoughts.
I know, that this certainly does not help/assist; but, I hope, that this may provide, some insight; and, perspective.
