How to release ordinances reserved by a deceased family member?

My Mom passed away in July 2020 and a couple of people here were able to help get all of the family ordinances she had reserved released for us kids to access them and get the temple work done.

My Dad recently passed away in June of this year. He also had several ancestor names reserved for temple ordinances that none of us can access. I used the live chat feature to see if someone could also release the ordinances he has reserved, but the agent told me I have to wait months for his reservations to expire. I don't understand... why was it possible to release the ordinances my mom reserved, but not release those my dad had/has reserved? We want to get the work done. Thanks!
