I'm unable to find my living father's record

@Paul W - I've tried to find my father. The odds are in my favor that he is listed, but I can't seem to narrow down my search results to anything lower than ~353,000. Do you have any suggestions?

My research work has been mainly confined to England and Wales, as I have discovered no ancestors who lived elsewhere. There are a number of groups within Community that are dedicated to research in different parts of the USA, as well as other countries. A member of one of those groups might be better qualified than me to advise on something as specific as the object of your search.
l'd also bear in mind that in spite of its huge amount of records, some areas and/or more recent records are not to be found on FamilySearch. However, if you want to outline the rough area that might match his whereabouts someone should be able to give you advice on how and where to make your searches.
I would not reveal too much personal detail here, as this site is primarily used for tracing deceased relatives and ancestors, going back through the generations. You should consider the privacy implications attached to discussing too much about your immediate family (and yourself) on this forum.
(As suggested, it might be worth joining one of the groups listed at https://community.familysearch.org/en/categories/gp-groups-en?route=my-groups if your father had connections to one of these area-specific groups.)
