Person with B & C completed, but family thinks this is not possible

Donald Robert Broadland PID LX1C-VXB ... Ordinance Records show B & C completed 6 September 1942. His daughter says that neither he, nor his parents were members of The Church, and questions that these Ordinance are his. While he was living, his daughter questioned him about the Ordinances, and he said he had not done them.

With whom can my friend talk to find out the source of these B & C records ?

Thank you,

Janet Neilson

A MOD will likely move this post to the Temple category and connect you to a specialty team.

    Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]

    Just in passing ...

I venture to humbly suggest, that possibly, contrary to what Donald Robert BROADLAND ( LX1C-VXB ) advised his Daughter ...

He may have been "Baptized", a Member of the Church, all those years ago ...

The "Reasons", that I venture to suggest, such is twofold:

    (1) The "Age", at the time, of 8, is right age; and,

    (2) He had a 'FamilySearch Person Identifier" (PID), that has subsequently been "Merged"/"Combined,

.... that fits, for someone who WAS "Recorded"; as, a Member of the Church,

.... that being, Donald Robert BROADLAND ( K2MQ-X4W ), "Created" by 'FamilySearch' in 2014 (6 June)

.... which is NORMAL, for us "Living" Users/Patrons, who are Members of the Church,

.... with the implementation of "Private Spaces", for "Living" individuals/persons.

I am NOT saying that Donald Robert BROADLAND ( LX1C-VXB ), actually was a Member of the Church; but, at a 'quick' glance, the 'signs' are there, that he MAY have been ...

    Just my thoughts.

I know, that this may certainly not help/assist; but, I hope, that this may provide, some additional, insight; and, perspective.

    Brett

ps: Hopefully, a "Moderator" [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" ( Personnel ) ], can take this matter, into the workings of 'FamilySearch' "Support", to confirm either way.

    Hello @georgevernneilson1

Since there is not a temple listed with the completed ordinances they would seem to be completed as a living individual.

Here are some articles that may help with this issue.

When the records were merged, were the two people actually the same person ... or did someone just merge the records because the names were the same.

    Thank you,

    George/Janet Neilson for Jan Olsen

    George/Janet

Short Answer: 'Yes', they appear to have been "Merged"/"Combined", when they WERE the SAME person.

ie. SAME, (Full) "Name"; and, 'Date' and 'Place' of "Birth"; and, 'Date' of "Death".

The User/Patron who did the "Merge"/"Combine" was:

    'Cailey Lane Baxendalee' ( E-mail: )

Who states that: This is my grandfather
