Just consolidating all here ...
There are OTHER "Options" ...
[ 1 ]
IF, your Children, have their OWN 'FamilySearch' Account; THEN, they can simply use, the "Famous Relatives" Section, under the "Activities" 'Tab', in their own right, to 'see' what "Famous Relatives" they have.
[ IF, you are a Member of the Church; THEN, you could become their "HELPER", to do so ... ]
[ 2 ]
You can always us (BYU) "RelativeFinder" ...
[ ie. A "Third Part" Application, that is "Certified" to Work, with "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch'
(BYU) "RelativeFinder" has the following capability ...
Masquerade
Explore relatives of a deceased person as if you were them by inputting their FamilySearch.org PID.
https://www.relativefinder.org/#/masquerade
Furthermore ...
Take a 'look' at this post of mine, about (BYU) "RelativeFinder" ...
"Groups" Section
HOME > GROUPS > (BYU) RELATIVEFINDER; &, (FAMILYSEARCH) FAMILY TREE
What is ... (BYU) Relative Finder?
https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/93524/what-is-byu-relative-finder
It is very simple, just a matter of "Signing In", with the "Credentials" of one's 'FamilySearch' Account; accepting the "Conditions"; and, the "Connection" between, "FamilySearch'; and, (BYU) "RelativeFinder"; which, then, (BYU) "RelativeFinder", becomes a "Partner" Account, that is "Connected" to one's 'FamilySearch' Account.
Good Luck.
I hope, that this may help/assist, somewhat.

Because you commented on the post of another guest, I have suggested there that you might want to just help your children create their own accounts. When we want to share information from Family Tree, it is recommended that we just encourage and assist others to have their own account. Your children will be able to add both parents as they create their accounts and that will allow them to connect to their father's ancestors who might already be in Family Tree.
As they create their own accounts, if their father is living, they will need to create a new record for their father before they can connect to his deceased ancestors. If their father is your deceased ex-husband, you can provide his unique ID number to help them begin to develop their pedigree.
Best wishes as you work with your family to discover their ancestors.
