I have been trying to do 2 hours of Family History a day, for years now. I am retired and 81 years old. I am above the 300 submission limit, to the temple file. The names I'm submitting are generations back in one of my 4 main family lines. I have 100 other families, whose names I've written down to go back to and do. I sustain the leaders of the church, but the names I'm doing would probably not be gotten to any time soon, especially by younger people. I miss this opportunity. I have been a ward family history consultant, for about 16 years now. Thanks for your time. I'll sustain the church leaders.

    I appreciate your help. I don't know how it happened, because I have made it a point to put everything into temple file. I unreserved all of my reserved ordinances and they all completely disappeared, so, does that mean the work was done for nothing? Thank you again, for helping me out. I can back after it now.

    There is no limit to the number of names you can share with the temple. Just have your My Reservations list under 300 and you can reserve then share to your Shared-with-Temple list just as many as you want.

    Remember that you can also Unshare back from your Shared-with-Temple list at any time any uncompleted ordinances if doing them yourself or sharing with others or wanting to put them in a Family Group.

    @FredRichardson1,

    The banner at the top of your current temple list should allow you to go to and carefully read the FamilySearch Blog article about the 300-reservation limit. Click learn more in that banner to get a better understanding of this new policy which only affects the ordinances on your My Reservations line, and not the ordinances that have been shared with the temple system. Here is the link to that Blog article if you have dismissed the banner that was provided to help our guests understand this new policy. https://www.familysearch.org/en/blog/temple-ordinance-reservation-lists-update

    If you have more than 300-lines of reservations in My Reservation, you may want to share them with the Temple unless they have a note on the right that says you picked them up because someone else already shared them with the temple. If you see that note across from a name on your reservation list, you can unreserve the ordinances to remove that request from My Reservations, or you can print the card and complete the ordinances which is what you committed to do when you picked up ordinances someone else already shared.

    Thank you for sharing your concern. We hope reviewing the blog article will help you understand more bout this change.
