Ordinance work
I have a second cousin once removed on my father's line, Malcolm Nicol GD8N-S9Z, who needs ordinance work done. My husband and I are working on his father, uncles, aunts and Mother's work. I need permission to do his work. How could I get this permission? How would I know if I am the closest living relative. We would love to do his work and link him to family if possible.
Thank you, Pam Jesperson

On his ordinance page, click request and fill out the form to document that you have received permission from his closest living relative. See: https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/do-i-need-permission-from-the-closest-living-relative-to-do-temple-ordinances
If you don't have permission, then don't do the ordinances.
If he has no closest living relative as defined in the help center article, you will need to document that for FamilySearch.
Or just wait seven more years.
(This type of question should really be posted under the Temple category in Community so the right people see it quicker and there are a lot of non-members who help out in this General Questions category who don't want to be bothered sorting through questions that don't concern them.)
