Is the son of a friend. His parents have given permission for Patrick to be baptized. No one in the Vega family are members of the church, nor known distant family members. I am not able to reserve the ordinances, due to not being a family member and though I click on "I have permission.", I still can not reserve them.
Can you help?
Thank you

Hi Ken,
To complete ordinances for someone you are not related to, requires a written permission from a relative. This seems to not be a problem, but the permission letter does need to be worded correctly. Check out the Article below on this subject to know what you need to do:

Welcome to the "Community.Familysearch" Forum.
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]
Just in passing ...
As an aside ...
As far as I was aware ...
[ And, I stand humbly corrected, if I am wrong (ie. if this has been addressed/fixed, recently ) ... ]
But ...
In 'Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch' ...
The "System", will NOT allow, a User/Patron (of course, who is a Member of the Church), who is NOT "Related" to an individual/person, to "Request", the "Temple" Work, for that individual/person.
As such ...
The best option, is to ensure that you follow/comply with that "Knowledge Article", in 'FamilySearch', that 'Diana' has proffered; and, provided all is in order; then; as, you have ALREADY posted here in this Forum, you can post the 'FamilySearch Person Identifier' (PID) of the individual/person, for whom you would like to do the "Temple" Work for, here is this post of yours.
Whereby, a "Moderator" [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" (Personnel) ], here in this Forum, will be able to take the matter, of yours, pertaining to "Temple" Work, for that particular individual/person, into the Workings, of 'FamilySearch' "Support", to better help/assist you - to enable such to happen.
Of course ...
You could (ie. certainly have the option) to contact 'FamilySearch' "Support" either, (1) directly by Telephone; or, (2) ) through/via a "Live" ('On-Line') "Chat"; but, I would humbly suggest; as, you have started this post, in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, it would be much simpler to continue with the matter, through this post of yours.
Just my thoughts.
I hope that this also helps/assists, somewhat.
Brett
