I can't use it.
Every time I come back to the new website I think it will be different and I will understand it, and I will be able to get information that is reliable. However, that's not what happens. I end up with thousands of hits I can't narrow down. Most specifically are locations, ages and dates. These basic searching features may be in there somewhere, but, they are so obscure, I can't find them. Somehow the search features aren't coordinated with the data. It seems to only recognize one thing, such as the name, and then dumps everything in the results window. I asked the people at my local historical society if they could offer any help and the answer was face twitching, sympathetic nods and I'm sorries. It seems to me the LDS is defeating the whole reason why they make this information available. Keeping up with technology is one thing, but there is an old engineering saying that says "keep it simple stupid". Otherwise known as KISS. I think the LDS needs a group of techs who actually use the product and therefore can develop something that's usable. We need technology in the 2020's that allows us to think like it was 1800. Today's states, counties, townships and spellings didn't exist back then. I hope there is a team of people working to change this website as soon as possible. It's not a matter of teaching old dogs new tricks as the young might think. It's about teaching the new dogs the old tricks and improving on them.

It seems like there have been some very small changes in the past few days, I haven't been on this site other than looking at family members for some time.
The pop up search box on the right of the page continues to cover information in the results page, or I have to scroll all the way to the far right of the page.
All the popup boxes are really annoying they cover content and it's impossible to know where they are going to end up.
