    Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]

Further to what may have been proffered to you ...

Just so you (and, others, that find you post and have the same 'Questions') are aware ...

Here are some "Knowledge Articles", in 'FamilySearch':

Do common-law spouses have the same precedence as married spouses?

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/do-common-law-spouses-have-the-same-precedence-as-married-spouses

[ Short answer(s): 'Yes'; and, 'Yes' (re: "Permission Required") ... same, same ... ]

Do I need permission from the closest living relative to do temple ordinances?

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/do-i-need-permission-from-the-closest-living-relative-to-do-temple-ordinances

When should I obtain permission before performing ordinances for the deceased?

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/when-should-i-obtain-permission-before-performing-ordinances-for-the-deceased

I cannot find any close living relatives to grant permission for ordinances

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/i-cannot-find-any-close-living-relatives-to-grant-permission-for-ordinances

    And ...

Although, this certainly does not relate in your situation ...

[ But, just in case, others come across the situation ... ]

Policy on sealing a deceased couple that were never married nor ever lived together

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/policy-on-sealing-a-deceased-couple-that-were-never-married-nor-ever-lived-together

I hope that these may help/assist you; and, also others, who may come across the same or similar situation.
