Temple work for my daughter's husband's father

After having obtained permission from my son-in-law, I tried to reserve his father's temple work (the father's own individual ordinances and sealing to parents), but got a message saying I couldn't reserve them because my son-in-law's father was not in my direct line. Can't believe this is true! This is my daughter's husband!
