I am trying to share with the Temple

I have 3 names that were on my reservation list. I unreserved them. I wanted to share them with the Temple, per the 1st Presidency Instructions. But, from the ancestor's own page I can ONLY hit "reserve" and then it tells me I can't reserve any more. Yep, that's the point - I want to share it with the Temple. WHY can't I share it with the Temple FROM the ancestor's page?
See these ID #s: L4QD-87R; LHN5-TCH; LC7W-NCG.
Please help.
Thanks. Suzanne

Recently the Temple department put a limit on the number of reservations per user. Previously there was no limit. There is now a limit of 300 reservations per user. If you are over the limit all you are allowed to do is share with the Temple from your list or unreserve the ancestors on your list until you get below the limit. There is an article in the FamilySearch Help Center that discusses this change. The link is located below. You can click on the link and it will take you to it.
How many family names can I reserve? Is there a reservation limit?

Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
[ And, I happen to be a member of the Church ... ]
Just in passing ...
FYI
IF, your "List" of "Reservations" in x300 or greater; THEN, you will NOT be able to "Reserve" ANY more "Temple" Work, until you REDUCE your "Reservations" to under (ie. LESS than) x300, that is a NEW "Policy", that has recently (ie this Month), been implemented/enforced.
And ...
As such ...
Unfortunately, currently ...
Even if you "Unreserve" a "Reservation"; UNLESS, your "List" of "Reservations", is under (ie. LESS than) the (New) LIMIT of x300; then, you will NOT be able do in to "Re-Request", that "Reservation", that you just released, to even "Share with the Temple System".
Here are some Articles from the 'FamilySearch' "Blog":

Just my thoughts.
I know that this may not help/assist; but, I hope that this gives you some additional, insight; and, perspective.

That is counter-productive in my estimation. Why can I not "share to the temple" FROM the ancestor's page? That makes no sense.
These 3 were on my reservation list but rather than sharing FROM that list, I just went to that ancestor's page to "unreserve", thinking I could share to the Temple from there.
I see no reason why I can't share to the temple FROM the ancestor's page....
Also, I've had names in the "shared with the temple" list since January 2016 that have yet to be done in any temple. That's 6 YEARS. Adding all these new names from all of us who have been reserving them for our children/grandchildren, is a bit frustrating. Is there a reason that the Temple doesn't pull names that have been reserved the longest? In 6 years I've had maybe a total of 25 names completed out of 100 originally shared. And they pull from the more recent ones typically. Don't understand.
Thanks. Suzanne

I totally understand your answer, Brett - but it doesn't answer the question as to why I can't share to the temple FROM the ancestor's page. Why do I have to "reserve" it to my own reservation page before I can share it to the temple?
Makes zero sense.
thanks. Suzanne

You are not alone ...
Believe me, I know, where you are coming from ...
I could be wrong; and, I stand corrected, if I am ...
But ...
That Said ...
Due to some of the, lets say, unexpected consequences, of this (New) LIMIT of x300; being, implemented/enforced ...
[ ie. Especially, WITHOUT prior Warning/Advice, of such, a NEW Policy, well in advance of being implemented/enforced ... ]
I believe, that 'FamilySearch', may be exploring/working on a way, to "Share with the Temple System", directly from one's "List" of "Reservations", rather than having to "Unreserve" (ie. "Release") the "Reservation", in the first instance; and, being unable to do so.
Well, lets hope so any way ...

The reason you "can't share to the temple FROM the ancestor's page" is that the program does not currently have a button that allows you to.
Several people on these boards have requested that such a button be added.
Whether the powers-that-be, that is the church's Temple Committee and First Presidency give permission to the FamilySearch programmers to add such a button is anyone's guess at this point.
Would such a button really increase the efficiently of sharing with the temple all that much? Or would there be too many people thinking, "I'm not reserving this person, I'm just putting him on the temple list. So it really doesn't matter if I'm related to him or not" which would compound an ongoing problem that the church has been trying to stamp out for years?
As long as one's temple list is under 300 lines, it is a simple matter to click reserve, then immediately go to My Reservations and share the name of our relative to the temple.

If I understand you correctly, you unreserved the ordinances & then tried to share them with the temple. It seems that that was the mistake. If you had kept them reserved, THEN from their personal ordinances pages, you could have shared them with the temple as you desired to do. There is a "share" button near the top of the ordinance list on that page.
You couldn't reserve them again if your personal reservation list was still over 300: the system would treat them as brand-new reservations.
'Hope this helps.

"As long as one's temple list is under 300 lines, it is a simple matter to click reserve, then immediately go to My Reservations and share the name of our relative to the temple."
I have found that there is a "share" button on a person's ordinances page that appears after the ordinances are reserved. The option to share with the temple is there as well as on the Reservation List.
'Hope this helps.
