License number 426900 indicates a court ordered correction to the last name of the bride, Zena Carroll to her maiden name of Zena Embry. Which name should be indexed?

Her name would be indexed as

    Given Name: Zena

    Surname: Embry Carroll

I suppose you could use Surname: Carroll or Embry since she was changing her name. Either way the names will be found on a search and the researcher will have to see the image to know it was a name change.

It might be useful for the researcher to have both surnames indexed with the word 'or' between.

"If alias names were included on a document, or if an individual's name was listed with various spellings on the document, include all variants, separating each with the word Or."
