Family Groups and expiration dates.

If you share a name through family groups, and someone takes the name, but does not do the work in the 90 day period allowed, does the name go back into the family group for someone else to reserve or into shared with the temple.

The original user who submitted the ordinance to the Family Group has a 2 year reservation. The ordinance shared to a Family Group can be reserved for 90-days by other users. In effect, what they are doing when they reserve for 90-days is just doing a print-hold on that ordinance in the group. Meaning that ordinance is locked until it is either completed in the temple or until the 90-days expire or if the user "unreserves " it. If the ordinance expires, the print-hold is released and the ordinance is available for someone to reserve again for another 90-days or for the original user to remove it from the Family Group. If the ordinance stays in the group for 2 years, it will expire off the original user's reservation list.

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
[ And, I happend to be a Member of the Church ... ]
Here is a "Knowledge Article" in 'FamilySearch':
How does sharing with a family group compare to other ways of sharing ordinances?
There is a "Chart", in that "Knowledge Article"; where, there with the various scenarios ...
I feel, that "Knowledge Article", will address your 'Question'.
I hope this helps/assists.

Chart does not show where the name goes after the 90 days. Does it go back in the family group or to the Temple? Asking about the 90 day expiration, not the two year expiration date.
Thanks
