Incorrect connections

I have been asked to thank people for contributing to my tree however information that has been added to my tree is incorrect and I have no idea who is making these connections. I do think it would be good manners to contact people before changing their tree to see if they agree with the amendments. Allowing people to make alterations without consultation reduces the validity of the entire tree.

    FamilySearch is one worldwide tree where everyone works together. There are no "my trees" here. When you are on a person in the Tree, you can view the Change Log on the right side of the browser. You access it under Latest Changes - then Show All. This will give you the user who is making the changes you believe are incorrect. You can then message that user to work together to find the best information for the Tree person.

    @Ray Suckling

    If you go to the "Latest Changes" on the details page of the person, you can see the changes that were made, and on the right the username of the individual who made the change. You can contact that individual by clicking on the username and sending him/her a message. You can ask for reasons, as well as advise them of your concerns. Communication is a good way of resolving issue.

    If you receive an return message you will see a red dot next to the caption icon at the top right of the screen.

    The article below explains more.
