Worldwide Shared w/Temple List?

I've seen some passing references to the creation of a worldwide shared with temple list [I assume that ordinances shared with temple (that aren't taken through Ordinances Ready) are given to the person that's sharing's district temple]. Is a worldwide list going to be created that any temple will draw from.

If so, I assume this would even out the wait times after a temple share for ordinance completion. For me, some ordinances are done well within a year of sharing (even during COVID). On the other hand, I've heard of places where it can take years for a single ordinance to get done.

Anywah, what's going on with this?

Ron Tanner has mentioned this several times in his Live Q&A sessions. I'm not sure if it has actually been completed and is in production yet or if it is just very close but he has said that it will be the case that there will be one general temple list that all temples will draw from without regard to temple districts so that the oldest shared ordinances will be done first. He has said this is for exactly the reason you mention, that shared ordinances don't get stuck in the list for a temple district where 99% of the patrons bring their own names so the shared ones never get completed.

If you, or others who happen to read this, have never taken part in any of his Q&A sessions, you should. They are generally very worthwhile. You can view previous ones on his YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwJDNC5Ehtxqt1o4rs-0AKg/videos

He doesn't have a set schedule, but usually these are on Thursday evenings once or twice a month when he can work them into his schedule. Generally they will show up on YouTube as Scheduled or you can check his facebook page for upcoming events: https://www.facebook.com/familyhistoryron/ which is also where you can submit questions for him to answer.

His RootsTech presentations also always have a lot of great information: https://www.familysearch.org/rootstech/rtc2021/speakers/ron-tanner/en
