Husband's name?
The record in question is #9 for Gertrud Jacobskötter.
- Can anyone read what the husband's [Bernard} surname is?
- Does it also state his occupation along with his name?
- The second link shows his name a little better; it's record #16

In the first record, Bernard's surname is spelled: Inkmann.
In the second record, Joseph Bernard's surname is spelled: Inckmann.
In both records he is identified as a: Schuster = shoemaker.
Great idea to include the second record.
Doing an exact surname search and restricting the search to Germany here are the results for the two spellings:
Inckmann = 308
Inkmann = 240

He is a shoemaker (Schuster), and his surname is Inkmann/Inckmann (spelled with the "c" in the second link and without it in the first). It's a little clearer in his birth record: http://data.matricula-online.eu/en/deutschland/muenster/amelsbueren-st-sebastian/KB009/?pg=70

Just to be sure, in the marriage record, it's the father. Wilhelm, that is identified as a schuster and not the son. Is that correct?

Yes, you are correct.
In the wife's death record, Bernard is identified as a Schuster.
In Bernard's marriage record, it's his father who is identified as a Schuster.
Sorry for any confusion.

Here's a link to Bernard and Gertrud's first child born after their marriage:
http://data.matricula-online.eu/en/deutschland/muenster/amelsbueren-st-sebastian/KB012/?pg=43
Record 26 at the top of the page for Johann Wilhelm.
Bernard is identified as a Schuster in this record.
Here's a link for Bernard and Gertrud's next child born in August 1864:

Record 33 for Anna Maria Elisabeth. Again Bernard is identified as a Schuster.
(I stopped searching the birth/bap. records at this point, but there are more children because in Gertrud's death record from 1876 it states she left behind five minor children.)

Thanks, Robert! I will definitely check it out. Also, it just made sense the father and son had the same occupation. It seems to have happened often.
