Elizabeth Rutherford 1830 Indiana-19 Apr 1852 Martin, Indiana GDMP-KPC

Ordinances for Elizabeth were eliminated when someone erroneously edited her husband, Elisha Center Pace. She was the first wife and they omitted her, credited her children to his second wife, etc. Marriage records prove the connection and many researchers concur. I have fixed the group sheet, but cannot restore Elizabeth's original ordinances. Cany you help?
Baptism 13 Mar 2008 LANGE (Confirmation and initiatory were not recorded at that time and I assume confirmation same as baptism and initiatory same as endowment)
Endowment 16 Apr 2008 ARIZO
Seal Parents 15 Jan 2009 NBEAC
Seal Spouse 17 Feb 1998 OGDEN
Thank you

Hi Michele,
If you go to Sarah Ann Haskins, GQNT-X9G, check in Latest Changes for 18 February 2020, you will see where Elizabeth Rutherford was eliminated in a merge by Judy Lynn Miller, becoming Sarah Ann Haskins on 18 February 2020.
Elizabeth's ID at that point was K24C-Y5G
Here is what you need to do to unmerge:
1.Scroll to the 18 February 2020
- Click on Deleted Person Elizabeth Rutherford 1828-1852 K24C-Y5G
- On the popup that appears telling you this record has been deleted, Click on PERSON
- The next page tells you Elizabeth has been deleted in a merge, giving you the surviving person , Sally Ann Haskins. Click on Restore Person to the far right of that information.
- Elizabeth's information should then appear, including her ordinances

Thank you!
I did as you suggested and Elizabeth is back with proper children. However, her ordinances were not restored.
Elisha has his two wives, but the sealing to Elizabeth Rutherford is also missing now.
I have kept my records, first in PAF, then in RootsMagic for years. Previously, when a similar error occurred, I could send the dates through feedback and some team would find them in the original temple records and restore the dates. This happens so frequently with merges and updates and I hate to have people duplicate temple work!!!
As a reminder, the original temple work for Elizabeth Rutherford (according to my records) was
Baptism 13 mar 2008 LANGE
Endowment 16 Apr 2008 ARIZO
Seal to par 15 Jan 2009 NBEAC
Seal Sp 17 Feb 1998 OGDEN
What can we do next?

That can be resolved now that you have restored her. Will check it out tomorrow.
You will need to add her spouse and her father to the K24C-Y5G please
Thank you for your good efforts. We will soon have her back to rights!

Hi Michele again.
The ordinances showing for Elizabeth are earlier than the ones you show above. Earlier ordinances will always take precedence

Nothing showing on Family Search yet. I will happily stand corrected. Her probably father, Mark Rutherford, had a large posterity. Perhaps others did the work before I did. Elizabeth was part of a large, interconnected group of families in southern Indiana...lots of intermarriage. LIkely came from same origins on the Tennessee/ Virginia border, but records so poor before this generation that I can't prove it.
Go ahead and restore what you think is best. We know there was a lot of duplication! And we want to avoid further redundancy. Thanks again for your time!

Hi Michele ,
You may wish to see if merging the two records for Elizabeth Rutherford, (K24C-Y5G and GDMP-KPC) would fix the issue. The main difference is the Birth place. The siblings and mother are in both records.
Good luck.

That restored some temple dates. I think I'll leave it at that. At least she won't have duplicate ordinances completed. What a tangled web! Thank you for your help!

The issue now appears to be stray extra attachments and incomplete attachments between her and her husband, and between her and her parents. So, a little more cleanup is needed.

Done. I cannot verify Charlotte Skaggs as the spouse of Mark Rutherford....but I edited the work. Painful.

Yes to painful, although I find the result satisfying. The pain ends.

haha sometimes...unless they merged a bunch of stuff and it goes on for generations. Or they delete your guy altogether. Both have happened to me. No matter how many stories I write or sources I attached. there will always be idiots.

We thank you for your persistence and your patience. It can be frustrating at times, but getting it corrected is satisfying also.
