How do I find out if two separate names with different IDs could be the same person?
I am trying to solve an old family folklore problem where Charles Dunn (GHS5-S8G) changed his name to Frank Leroy Smith (G43Z-XYL). They both show to be married to my paternal grandfather's mother, Patsy Elder Koger (K8SG-HS3). Also, they share the same birth and death year, 1865-1942. There is a possibility that if the names were changed at all it was William J. Smith (9MZQ-1TY), Frank's dad, that actually changed them. One of Dewey Smith's (my paternal grandfather GMYB-C5V) cousins was a Alva Adelbert "Bert" Dunn (GHS5-44Q) is the son of Dewey Dunn (GWH8-GR2) who is the brother of Charles Dunn (GHS5-S8G) aka Frank Leroy Smith (G43Z-XLY). Is there a way this can be solved? One last link to the Dunn family line is a 23 and Me connection with a 3rd cousin descended from the Dunns. I hope I've made this question as clear as mud. Thanks in advance for any and all help.
