"Invalid Characters" - PID KZFR-3VT

Multiple issues with this Family. Repeated entries with the full correct name "Allen Augustus Body" show "Invalid Characters" preventing sealing to spouse. This also occurs with children.

Have a SS card for a son that was provided by FS Department ONLY; not available on FSFT.

Please advise.

    @Cousin David

    David

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

    [ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]

    Short Answer: 'Yes', the problem/issue, regarding "Temple" Work, relates to the "Name".

    Specifically, in your case, the particular "Word" of "Body", in the 'Family Name' / 'Surname'.

    And, 'Yes', we must "Request", that each individual/person, be "Checked", in each and very case.

    [ As, you have done here, in this particular post ... ]

    As you are most likely aware ...

    There are certain "Words", when used in the "Name" Field, of an individual/person, in "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch', that evoke the, "Needs More Information"; and, contact 'FamilySearch', for "Temple" Work.

    Individuals/Persons, in "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch', whose "Name" Field, contains these certain "Words", need to be investigated by 'FamilySearch', in each and very case, prior to "Temple" Work being undertaken, to ensure that these certain "Words" are actually part of the individual's/person's "Name", rather than the contextual use of the "Words".

    FYI

    You are not alone ...

    There matter, regarding "Invalid" Words, in 'Family Names'/'Surnames', was also raised recently; as, an "Idea" (ie. 'Feedback'):

    Automate unblocking temple work for valid surnames in Family Tree that are in the invalid words list

    https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/104711/automate-unblocking-temple-work-for-valid-surnames-in-family-tree-that-are-in-the-invalid-words-list

    https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/104711/automate-unblocking-temple-work-for-valid-surnames-in-family-tree-that-are-in-the-invalid-words-list

    Just a thought ...

    You may wish to add your support to the aforementioned "Idea" (ie. 'Feedback').

    Now ...

    That Said ...

    Hopefully, a "Moderator" [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" (Personnel) ], here in this Forum, will find this post of yours, here in this 'Category' of "General Questions"; and, "Move" your post, to the 'Category' of "Temple"; so that, this matter, can be taken, into the Workings of 'FamilySearch' "Support", to better assist you.

    .

    As an aside ...

    For future reference ...

    The BEST place, to submit posts, on matters [ie. Problems/Issues (eg. such as yours)] relating to "Temple" Work (ie. But, NOT be "Ideas", for suggested enhancements or faults/flaws), in now in:

    .

    Good Luck.

    I hope that this may help/assist, somewhat.

    @Cousin David

    Because Family Tree software "reads" the information we provide, there is a list that is not all-inclusive of words and characters that the system cannot recognize as a name. You may want to review that list which is in a knowledge article found in our Help Center. https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/what-words-and-abbreviations-cause-needs-more-information-to-appear

    I did discover that you have provided the wrong ID number for your ancestor which appears to have delayed formally requesting a Family Name Card so that you can complete the SS ordinances for Allen Augustus Body K2FR-3VT and his spouse Nellie Mae Landaker L2HN-M5K. Since I have verified these records and your relationship to this couple, I will forward the request to the team that can provide the needed Family Name Card for you. You should hear from them directly when your case has been resolved.

    I have also moved this discussion to the Temple Category in the Community where others who may have words or characters that are causing problems will be able to find this information.
