What to do if the record's ink is too light to read?
I am having trouble reading the West Virginia Census of 1870-1880. The ink on the page is nearly the same color as the paper it is written on.
If your are record is too bright you can do the following:
1- Click on the vertical menu of your upper left corner of your image field.
2-Click on the submenu icon of Adjust Image (half sun)
3-Move the dial left or right on the screen related to Brightness and contrast. I have included the following image to help you:
You can also reverse the color of the entire document to black and white if you click on the icon above the Adjust Image, I included this image with a red star. To get back to previous color, brightness click again number 1.
Hope this help you answer your question.1
