How do I find permission?

I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue. I know 2 people (no connection between them) who never married or had children while they were on the earth. For each of them, I find no record of any siblings, and their parents have passed on quite a while ago. I created a page with the information I found for each of them in Family Search. Family Search tells me I need permission to do their work as they are not 110 years old yet. I am willing to ask for permission to do the work, but I have no idea who to ask as I can't find any living relatives for either of them. Please let me know how I may receive permission so I may do this work. Thank you for your help.

There is an article in the FamilySearch Help Center that might assist you. Click on the link below and it will take you there. If after reading the article you decide through your research that your relatives have no living close relative you may request them yourself.

I cannot find any close living relatives to grant permission for ordinances

    Hello @Nelson, Jennifer Ellen

Thank you for using the Community and asking this question. First go to the question mark with the circle around it in the top right corner of the page.

Then select "help center." Then type in key words "ordinances for a friend." There will be several articles, but this is the one you should select: https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/can-i-request-proxy-temple-ordinances-for-a-friend.

You will note that the sentence is given in that document that reads: If your deceased friend has no close living relatives that can provide written permission, then a request cannot be granted.

We are sorry that this will not permit your doing that ordinance work for your friend.
