Pre-1500
Dear FamilySearch,
Could you please help me reserve all temple ordinances for John Isham, gentleman of Coventry (G8TS-4TW) and his wife Margaret (G8YY-J1L)? These are my fourteenth great-grandparents on my paternal line. Temple ordinances for these individuals have never been done because, until recently, English Common Pleas court cases have not been adequately indexed or searched. John Isham appears in a common pleas suit of debt in 1521 as John Isham, gentleman of Coventry. He is also mentioned in a suit of debt in 1531 (CP 40/1068), in which his remarried widow Margaret is listed as the executrix for John Isham, yeoman of Ashow. A transcription and translation of the case is attached as an image.
Evidences for my descent from John Isham and Margaret are available at https://www.familysearch.org/photos/artifacts/111848364?cid=mem_copy
Kind Regards,
Josh Isom
