I have some obituaries from Minnesota that are news clippings writtein in another language-German probably, but I do not know german, and the options are no extractable data or enter data. How should that be handled?

In the past, we indexed them as No, No Extractable Data. They were reviewed and placed in a project in the German language. I am doing the same on this project.

    Hi-

I am also working on the same obituary project. I speak German and have been trying to grab the German obituaries so they can be indexed. I've worked on other English language projects (e.g. New Orleans cemetery inscriptions, South African civil and church records, North Dakota burial/cemetery records) where other languages may show up and there's instructions to return a batch if you are not comfortable dealing with records that are not in English (there's also usually help materials for the non English language also).

The typeface with the Brown County German obituaries is tricky but the actual language is not.
