Transferring reserved names from a de-activated account

My mother-in-law died in June 2019. My wife and I have been performing temple work for names that were reserved under her name and now it seems that FamilySearch has figured out she is dead and de-activated her account. We can't access those reserved names now. Any idea what we can do? My wife is an only child and there are no other surviving members of my MIL's family.

There is an article in the FamilySearch Help Center that will assist you. Click on the link below and it will take you there.

A person who reserved ordinances has died, is incapacitated, or had a withdrawal of membership

    Hi @Scott Bayles

FamilySearch no longer moves ordinances from one person's account to the account of another person if someone passes away. The knowledge article which was mentioned by @lookingfortheanswers is the article which explains that with a few of the names on the reserve list of someone else, we can often simply ask that the ordinances that were on their Temple List at the time of their death be released back into Family Tree where other family members can find and complete the ordinances. Once released, the ordinances can be reserved by your wife since this was her mother. We will forward a request to have the ordinances released, but we will need a few of the names that show your mother-in-law as the person holding the ordinances.

We have sent you a personal message as well to explain that since this concern is actually regarding how to complete temple ordinances that another person holds, we will move it to the Temple Category where others with a similar question may view the discussion.

When your concern has been addressed by the appropriate department, you will be notified either in a Community post or by email.
