Many of the names that I have printed cards for, in checking on them I find that they have been submitted to temples in order for the work to be done. If I go ahead and have the work done will that cancel the temple request or should I just wait and let the temples do all of the work? I feel there is no sense in having the work done 2, 3, or more times.

Just so that you are aware ...
IF, you HAD the "Reservations"; and, "Printed" the "Temple" Cards; BUT, the "Reservations", have subsequently, "Expired"; THEN, those "Reservations", are now automatically, "Share[d] with the Temple System", upon release from reservation.
Now ...
That Said ...
You have a couple of options:
[ 1 ]
IF, you indent to do the "Temple" Work; THEN, you can "Re-Reserve" that Work; but, the "Reservation" will ONLY last for THREE (x3) Months.
OR ...
[ 2 ]
IF, you DO NOT indent to do the "Temple" Work; THEN, 'Yes', "Destroy" the "Temple" Cards.
Furthermore ...
As an aside ...
IF, you do not "Re-Reserve" that "Temple" Work; but, go ahead; and, undertake the "Temple" Work with the OLD Cards; THEN, once you have undertaken that Work; THEN, that Work will automatically "Drop Off" the "Temple System".
But ...
That Said ...
IMPORTANT ...
BEFORE, you go to do the the "Temple" Work with the OLD Cards; where, you have NO "Re-Reserved" that Work, you NEED to check that the Work has NOT already been DONE; and, that includes, just before you go into the "Temple", to do the Work; OTHERWISE, you MAY be "Duplicating" the Work.
