How do I reserve temple ordinances for my deceased father-in-law and mother-in-law?

Someone has been doing my husband's (husband is a non-member as well as any other known family member of his on both side) family members and I want to make sure he has the opportunity to complete his father's work when he is baptized which I pray will be one day soon. I've tried to reach out to the member who is shown on other records but never heard back.

When you are in you Father-in-Law record, under his name, there is a line with several buttons, one of them says "Ordinances", click it.

This will show all the ordinances, which ones are completed, which ordinances that can be requested. You can go ahead a click on "Reserve". You can reserve ordinances for up to 2 years.

The ordinances that the other person reserves, you can continue to try to reach out to them and get them to "Unreserve" the ordinances. If the ordinances are not completed, after being reserved after 2 years, they go back into a Reserve status.

I hope this answered your question.
