I am reviewing a muster roll and the indexer missed a name in the middle of the document. Do I add a new entry at the end or do I need to add it where it appears in the document and change all of the entries? (The missing entry would be number 13 of 23- they only had 22)
Dear @Annette Walker ,
Please provide the batch code that can be found above the image and after the title in this format: [XXXX-XXX]. That way we can look at the same thing you are seeing and give you a better answer. Thank you.0
Hi, Annette. It is preferable and appreciated by the Reviewer when the Indexer indexes the record in the natural Oder (top to bottom/ left to right). But generally it doesn’t matter to the Researcher’s ability to find the image and have a look at it. You’ve benefitted from the indexer’s trying to do that, but missing one name.
However, you can put the needed entry where it belongs with no more trouble than putting it at the end by using the “Add Entries” icon (Plus Sign(+) icon) in the middle of the Horizontal Toolbar, just to the left of the Trashcan icon. One of its options is to add an entry “after the current entry” and another is “after the last entry.” If you select the entry just before the missing one and choose the first option, the system will automatically renumber the entries following the new one with no extra work for you.1
