Hello,

Question regarding the Temple marriage of my father, Leslie Wayne Taylor KWDS-LV5, and my mother, Marcene Manning KWDS-LV2. The date for my father is 14 April 1947, while my mother shows a different date. I would appreciate any research into why the dates do not match. Thank you so much for your time. I am okay with knowing the truth, just trying to get things as they should be :)

    Thank you for responding especially with the copy of the wedding announcement.

    Your question will be forwarded to a specialty team for review and resolution.

    You may be contacted by that team if they need to gather more information.

    Watch for a tiny red dot to appear next to the small envelope in the upper right portion of your screen that will indicate you have received a private message in regard to this subject.

    Dear Margaret,

    Your questions regarding your parents' sealing date (and your mother's living ordinances) can be resolved. Please look at your private messages.

    @Margaret Bingham As we understand your question, you are concerned about the Sealing to Spouse not showing correctly in Family Tree. We have looked at their detail pages and find that they were married on 14 April 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah. This date is found in Family Members section of the Details page for each spouse.

    On the Ordinance page, it shows that the couple were sealed in the Ogden Utah Temple on 16 October 2010. From what we can see this date may be correct because your mother received her Endowment on 29 August 2009. Both of these endowment and sealing to spouse were completed after her death.

    If these dates do not match the information you have, such as they were sealed to each other in 1947, please respond here and we will investigate the situation.

    The other possibility is that your mother received her Endowment before they were sealed as a couple in 1947. If this is the case we will need your confirmation that this is correct and we will research that information.

    @Margaret Bingham

    We looked at the record for Leslie Wayne Taylor, LWDS-LV5 and see the 14 April 1947 is for his Endowment, completed in the Salt Lake Temple. His Sealing to Spouse date is 16 October 2010, in Ogden. Marcene Manning, KWDS-LV2 has the same date. Both have other spouse(s) sealings that can be requested.

    Good luck with your work on Family Tree.

    Thank you, however, I was told they were married in the Salt Lake City Temple in 1947. I am unsure why that does not show, or why the other (later) dates are there?

    This is the only proof I have available, besides word of mouth. I would very much like to know why the Church records seem to be different? Thank you very much.
