Father's live baptism record missing
My father was baptized and confirmed 3 July 1968 in San Leandro, CA by Elder Willard Craig Johnson and Elder Kendall C. Mellor respectively. He died recently, 22 September 2021 and I look forward to doing his temple work at the one year anniversary of his passing. When I view my father's record in my family line at Family Search there is no record of his baptism, and when I look at temple ordinances page there is no reference to his having already been baptized there either. To avoid replication of my dad's baptism and confirmation, what can I do to correct the records?
Thanks,
Br. McFarland

I should have mentioned in my earlier question that I have a copy of my dad's Certificate of Baptism and Confirmation that he gave me for my records.

Very sorry for your Father's death. Whenever a member dies, the ward clerk needs to add the death date of your Dad on the membership rolls. The following article will give you the information that you need.

Thanks for your reply and offer of help with your advice!
My dad hasn't been active in the church since shortly after his baptism and I doubt the ward clerk in the ward he lived in, doesn't know he exists . . .
I'll try contacting the bishop of his ward to see what I can learn.
Cheers,

@PiperMcFarland Since you have looked at your father's detail page in FamilySearch, we assume that you have marked him as deceased and added his death date and death place. It would also be beneficial for us to have his full name and ID# to assist you with your concern about his baptism and confirmation not showing. As previously mentioned, you do understand that you will need to wait one year and one day to continue with his InitiaItory, endowment and sealing to parents and sealing to spouse ordinances.
It is also this one year waiting period that prevents you from seeing his baptism and confirmation dates. They should show when that the year is up. Please review the link below.
If you do not see the Not Ready shown for his baptism and confirmation, we will need to do more work to assist you.
You may also want to scan the Certificate of Baptism and Confirmation and add it to your father's memories page. If you have a death certificate, an obituary or other proof of his death, you may add them to his memories page. Please see the link below:
