Missing Ordinances

I have some people that aren't showing that their ordinances are complete.

Walter Miles K2LT8D6 He is missing his endowment and I have the date of 6/7 Jan 1965 in SL

Ann Riseley KHB1G8B SHE IS missing her SP which was done 30 Jun 1970 in NZ

This looks good. All of the dates match up. The christening is one year out but the day and month are the same. Father is the same. Should I go ahead and merge or wait for you? Then I'll have a duplicate father William. This also gives the mother's name which I didn't have!

Yes, you may merge. But, try this first.

But, we would like to show you something first. When you are on the page of your Walter  K2LT8D6, on his person page..........look to the far right column, lower than Show all, to Find Similar people. The first one that comes up is Walter Miles MMNF-ZHD. This tool helps to find duplicates that are not Exactly the same in every detail. This can be very useful.

Thanks for the tip. I have never used this feature to find duplicates.

Now that I have merged Walter Miles, he has all of his completed ordinances. However, as I mentioned above, his father now has a duplicate. I'm not sure how to merge the two Williams without losing the ordinances for my William. Mine is the MMNCX2X. all of his ordinances line up with the ones in my family group record. also the source attached for the marriage to Elizabeth Ashton says they are married in Shillington which is almost 14 miles from southill. What do you think?
