Date computation

I tried to reserve ordinances for an individual with whom I have a relationship. His birth date is listed with just the year 1910. He would have been 110 years old in 2020. It is now 2021. Obviously, he was born a bit more than 110 years ago. However, I got a notice saying I needed permission because, "This person was born within the last 110 years." Do the date computations in your software need a bit of fine tuning, or am I missing something?

@Tom Eccles ,You might check to see how the year 1910 is standardized. If it was standardized as something other than 1910. that could be the problem. If you post his PID others can look at it.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]

Further to what 'Chas' has already proffered ...

    Just quickly, in passing

Question: Are you "Requesting" ALL his 'Ordinances', or, just one in particular; that being, 'Sealing to Spouse'?

IF, you are just trying to "Request" that of 'Sealing to Spouse'; and, "Permission" is "Required"; THEN, take a 'look' at the 'Date' of "Birth" for his Spouse / Wife.

As, regardless, of his 'Date' of "Birth", being GREATER than 110 Years ago ...

IF, the 'Date' of "Birth", of his Spouse / Wife, is LESS than 110 Years ago; THEN, unfortunately, that "Permission" is "Required", STILL applies for that 'Sealing to Spouse' - BOTH, for him; and, for her.

    Just a thought.

    Tom

    Its 'Brett' again ...

    This might help ...

It gives one a few OTHER things to check for ...

Here is a "Knowledge Article" in 'FamilySearch':

Family Tree says I need permission to reserve ordinances. The 110-year policy does not apply.

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/family-tree-says-i-need-permission-to-reserve-ordinances-the-110-year-policy-does-not-apply

Where, the "Knowledge Article" concludes with, "... contact FamilySearch Support if you continue to see a message after checking each item ...".

    Good Luck.

I hope this may also help.
