Hi there - I was working on my family tree and got quite far with a lot of added information and uploading of documents such as birth records, etc. There is an issue with said laptop so now I am using a new one and when I've logged into my account and my whole family tree has disappeared!!! I have spent hours on this. Please tell me there is a way to get it back I thought logging in and it would still be there but there is nothing, Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Stephanie

Your information is never lost. It is there but you haven't found it yet. When you say nothing is there, do you mean that your parents that were listed are no longer there either? Calling 1-866-406-1830 FamilySearch Customer support or you can also start a chat. They would be able to help.

Your information is still there, just gotta find it.

    Hi Stephanie,

Are you saying you see a blank screen when you sign in, not even your name? If so try these things:

In the upper left portion of the tree screen, click the icon that looks like a house.

If the house icon does not show, above the gray field where the pedigree should show, click Recents. To the right of your name, click the pedigree icon.

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/why-is-familysearch-blank

Access the link above for other possible issues.

We hope this will resolve your issue, and you can now view your whole tree.

    Hey Guys,

Thank you for replying to my query.

I've logged into my FamilySearch account on my new laptop (as old one broken) and when I click on Family tree, then tree, the whole family tree that I have spent a long time filling in is not there. It looks as if it is wiped out. I had filled out generations for both my parents side and their parents side and filled all information of when and where they were born and died, how they died, where they were buried or cremated, marriages, uploaded documents such a birth, death and marriage records and when I log in all there is, is what you see below (picture).

When I go into "recents" a Jane McBurney and Andrew Milligan are there and I have uploaded sources in March 2021.

It looks like you (or someone) have entered duplicates for Andrew Milligan (multiple husbands for Jane McBurney 93QN-ZL7) and perhaps that is why you are having difficulty. Try the tree for this Andrew:

    https://www.familysearch.org/tree/pedigree/landscape/93QN-Z25

    Does that help?

You may want to merge the duplicate Andrew Milligan so that you don't continue running into this difficulty.

Here is one help center document that should help you merge them:
