In researching I have found several possible duplicates for LB7L-DLM.

S1SH-MDR, Q45X-NMD, 3Y3P-K5Y

QSHT-TYG.

In addition, I have found these possible duplicates for Julia Bethena Geraldine Keck.

S!SH-MDR, Q45X-F1R, QSHT-TYK. I don't feel qualified to sort this out, thanks for any help. neparker123@gmail.com

    Hello @nanee

I looked at Dr. John Marion Williams LB7L-DLM and discovered that he is also a distant relative of mine - the husband of my 6th cousin three times removed!

First of all -- the IDs S1SH-MDR, Q45X-NMD, 3Y3P-K5Y and QSHT-TYG are not valid IDs in Family Tree. Where did you find these numbers?

One of John's spouses is Bethenia Julia Geraldine Keck L7F4-V2C. And, likewise, the IDs S1SH-MDR,  Q45X-F1R and QSHT-TYK are not valid ones in Family Tree.

It would help us answer your question if we had some idea of where you saw these IDs. Otherwise, there are no duplicates for John Marion Williams and Bethenia Julia Geraldine Keck displaying in Family Tree. In fact, in the past there have been 5 merges of possible duplicates for John and 2 merges of possible duplicates for Bethenia, as shown in the Latest Changes logs for each of them.

Please provide clarification so that your concerns can be resolved.

    Hi @nanee

We have looked for the duplicate records you mentioned above in Family Tree and we were unable to find them in Family Tree. With additional research, we found the different ID numbers in the Genealogies portion of the site. The records you found are simply part of pedigrees that have been submitted for preservation by other users, and they cannot be edited in any way. This article about working in the Genealogies might be helpful.

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-search-the-pedigree-resource-file-and-other-genealogies

We did search for your ancestor using his name, birth and death dates and locations and were able to confirm that the S1SH-MDR record is from a submission in the Pedigree Resource File.

The Q45X-NMD record is a submission from Partner Trees: MyTrees.com which is another one of the user-submitted genealogies that is available through the Genealogies link when you click Search.

These submissions may provide additional clues about your ancestors. Carefully reviewing the infomation on the filters on the right of these records may provide sources or contact information for the person who submitted the information.

There is nothing to do with these entries but use them for your continued research as you verify information that may be included in all of the records.

Only Family Tree can be edited, so if you find new information through these user-submitted Genealogies, please feel free to go to the LB7L-DLM record in Family Tree to add any new information you may find. We wish you every success with your continued research.
