We some additional information in order to assist you.

Is your grandfather already in FamilySearch? If so can you provide us his name and FamilySearch ID number? Or the FamilySearch ID number and name of his spouse or parents. That we we can look at his personal page and be able to assist you.

We will watch for your response.

Thank you for your question, Cassie. In order to research the birth year of your grandfather, I would start with his birthdate and birth place and go to the United States census for that year. If you need further help, please let us know.
