Looking for Szoliszko, Polish town
Szoliszko was listed on Catholic Church records as the birth place of ancestors south of Nowy Targ. Would anyone now where that was or what it maybe called today?

I know next to nothing about this region of Poland, Czecho, Slovakia, Hungary, etc - but I did find:
postcard mentioning it: Search for it => 21317. Tátra, Csorba-tó, Kriván, Szoliszko, Cso 1000 https://static.darabanth.com/auction/documents/auctions_pdf/0/279_2.pdf
So it appears to be near Kriván which is on map.

The first link that genthusiast found indicates that Szoliszkó is the Hungarian name/spelling of a mountain peak in the High Tátra mountains. Mapire puts the map pin for it along a ridge stretching north from Csorba, Liptó county, Hungary (now Štrba, Slovakia). It was in the northeasternmost corner of Liptó county, very near the eastern corner of that "dip" in the middle of the northern border of the Kingdom of Hungary; the other side of the border was the Crown Land of Galicia, and is now Poland. In fact, checking Google Maps, I see that Štrba is about 25 miles south of Nowy Targ as the crow flies. (As the car drives, it's easily double that, of course.)

Nowy Targ is a town in southern Poland with 34,000 inhabitants. It is the capital of Goralscyzna and the Podhale region within it. The town is situated in a valley beneath the Gorce Mountains featuring Gorce National Park established in 1981, at the confluence of rivers Biały and Czarny Dunajec. Wikipedia

Thank you, that is the right area, it may be a regional discription of where they were from, rather than a specific town.
