    Ordinances for recently decreased states:

If a person has not been deceased for a year and a day, Family Tree shows the ordinance status of "Not Ready." Family Tree does not allow you to reserve ordinances for a person until one year and one day after the date of death. The calculation is based on Greenwich Mean Time, not local time zones.

You cannot reserve the ordinances until the waiting period is complete. If this ordinance status displays in error, it usually means that Family Tree lacks the correct death date.

You may also need to get permission from a close living relative, ie. spouse, parent, sibling, or child.
