    Reoccurring how?

Re 3 wives, no worries. In that time period 3 wives was not unusual. A widower with small children was highly motivated to get another wife, and a farmer could not function without someone in the house preparing meals and doing other essential work.

In Family Tree a “reoccurring person” is your ancestor more than 1 time.

This is a data problem that might alert you to a possible data entry error, but can be dismissed if the individual truly is related to you 2 or more times,

When cousins marry, at some point they share a grandparent. This grandparent shows more than one time on your pedigree chart.

Because my great grandparents 1st cousins, They share the same paternal grandparents.

On my pedigree chart, these grandparents names show in 2 different places (reoccur).

Reoccurring persons can happen in different generations. The most complex set I’m personally familiar with was someone who ancestry included 3 brothers who married 3 sisters.

Each set of siblings was her direct ancestor- 3 great-father & 3 great-grandmother.

So on a pedigree chart, rather than 6 direct ancestors having 6 different sets of parents, the same 2 parents appeared 6 times.

Excuse me, @Miss Jessie, my question was for @RockwellWhitham1. Pedigree collapse is the norm, not the exception. To answer @RockwellWhitham1's question some details are needed.

    FYI

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

[ And, one who has been using "Family Tree" (and, its predecessor) of 'FamilySearch' for Very MANY Years ... ]

Short Answer: 'No', at first 'look', I would suggest that there is no problem, that you should be worried about.

And, just from another Users/Patrons perspective ...

The distinction, of your reference, to the term, "Reoccurring Person", is what makes your post a little ambiguous.

    I just took a 'look' at Joshua FARMER ( LHGB-2V5 ).

There is NO indication, of a "Data Problem" (past of present), for Joshua FARMER ( LHGB-2V5 ); as, being a "Reoccurring Person"; as, referenced, by; and, in the aforementioned "Knowledge Article"; as, proffered by 'Miss Jessie'; but, quite a legitimate consideration.

    So ...

    That Said ...

I believe, that your particular reference, to a "Reoccurring Person", may be in relation to him being recorded as having Three (x3) Wives - in the "Family Members" Section.

Hence, the slight ambiguity of your post; and, the possible different interpretations, that can be made by different Participants (ie. Users/Patrons), in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum - which is quite understandable.

    Now ...

    That Said ...

IF, you 'look', just at that "Family Members" Section, of Joshua FARMER ( LHGB-2V5 ); THEN, you will notice, that he "Married", his Second; and, his Third, Wives, soon AFTER (ie. later that same Year) the Death of the proceeding Wife.

Plus, although there could be more than one of Joshua FARMER, there are "Sources" attached to Joshua Joshua FARMER ( LHGB-2V5 ), that indicate that such a named individual/person, had a Wife, in Three (x3) DIFFERENT Census', over a x20 Year period, each Census having the Wife's name as per each of the Three (x3) DIFFERENT Wives; as, listed on the record for Joshua FARMER ( LHGB-2V5 ).

    As an aside ...

    Although, not confirmation ...

But, certainly, a good indication; and, worth considering ...

According to the "ChangeLog", for Joshua FARMER ( LHGB-2V5 ), his record, is an original record; and, has been in "Family Tree" (and, its predecessor, "New.FamilySearch"; and, most likely BEFORE that) of 'FamilySearch', for a very long period of time, with MUCH work by various Users/Patrons, over the Years.

    Oh ...

Not that this is has any great bearing, on the matter ,,,

And, I also just to a 'look', to 'see' if I had any "Relationship", to Joshua FARMER ( LHGB-2V5 ) ... I do.

Just to let you know; as, one who is actually "Related" to Joshua FARMER ( LHGB-2V5 ), I am certainly NOT concerned or worried, with the record of Joshua FARMER ( LHGB-2V5 ), having THREE (x3) Wives.

As, has already been 'proffered', such is not unusual; and, quite conceivable ...

    Just my thoughts.

    I hope this helps, somewhat.

    Brett
