Latest update to the family tree search capabilities is too limiting.
I have been an extensive family tree user with probably close to 500, 000 entries and record aatchements or more . The latest version of the search capabilities is too limiting and thus is apt to create lots of duplicate entries. It is just the last couple of days that I have noticed the capabilities degrade. I am sure that you are trying to not have as much people combine people that shouldn't be combined, but this is a bit too limiting. I found a record of one of my relatives and they had a spouse so I added the spouse after some research I determined that this was the second marriage of the spouse and so I added the first wife. Neither the first wife or the husband's parents came up in the search and they all four both had six names long and once I added them as new, I also go just to double check nothing came up under the Research hints. However with only one quick search. I found that all six names were people that already had records in them. They were exact same spellings, exact same years, exact same dates, but yet there wasn't even a suggestion or hint of the record that was listed.
Early today I found a record that was only partially linked the daughter was born in 2009 the rest of the records attached, again this was building out a record and the spouse so I added the daughter. Her parents were already listed and a record attached. Just to see if they would come up I detached the record and tried to "enter a new person". Nothing came up There were ten records tying this particular name to the parents and both names were not super common. I would suggest that maybe the tightening was a bit much, If I would have been a normal user I would have entered many new records that didn't need to be there. I was working primarily in Netherlands records but it isn't limited to that I would be happy to provide addtional feedback (503) 270-7913
